killing kill hunters posers trolls were wolves wolf red black white pack newly bitten
I finally found a topic to talk about on this blog thing!! Recently i made a post in one of the packs talking about why people on werecon here have this deep desire to SLAUGHTER anything that comes in contact with them. "hunters," humans, role players, posers, just disagreeable people in general... i mean really? Before i demote myself down to a 5th grader allow me to elaborate on what i am refering to.
As many of you know a couple months earlier we were spammed by trolls and posers who claimed to be 'hunters' and 'wolf killers.' Idealy not the most intellectual way to occupy ones time. In the end the worst they did was make a bunch of stupid clubs, insult a bunch of people and drive everyone batty. No one was 'hurt' (that i am aware of) or hacked or 'hunted.' Yet the 'stand to fight against hunters' still arose and is still active even now. A good question to ask is, are we against 'hunters' or 'spammers/trolls?' I'll leave that up for all of you to decide.
Now the recent comment i made (which is really not mean or disrespectful, at least not in my mind) is as follows----- "i suppose this is just me but i really dont understand the fascination alot of people on here have with 'killing people.' Is there some deep down desire you all have to kill people who simply do not agree with you? rage, anger, fury, irritation, are all these really rational reasons for someone to just up and kill another? i find it a little over the top i suppose, its rather childish actually. but thats just my opinion and im entitled to it as much as anyone else...."
This suddenly brought up the idea of my ASKING why everyone here on werecon is so set on 'killing' things? Wolves, cats, any animal kills for its own sustinance, not for pleasure, not for revenge, not because they feel like killing something to let off some mood swings. The act of 'killing' is a method of survival for the individual and the pack. To kill willy nilly is a waste of time, effort, energy and patience. Any animal knows that instinctively. Yet so many on here find it the easiest conclusion to just tell everyone "oh im gonna kill such and such. he's gonna die" (bla bla bla) but everyone knows the truth. why act so tough and high and mighty? i just dont get it is all. it confuses me and to be honest its rather embarrassing not only for the one claiming to do so, but for the people who have to listen to it. and its all the more embarrassing when people play along...
ISNT CLAIMING YOU'LL KILL PEOPLE YOU DONT LIKE A SUBCONSCIOUS FORM OF ROLE PLAY?! THE ONE THING SO MANY ON HERE SEEM TO LOATH WITH ALL THEIR BEING?! come on children. i know the concept of 'werewolf' itself is rather silly but if you want to be taken seriously in the real world, grow up already. Stop doing the one thing you hate, ROLE PLAYING.
(i think i've discovered my new pet peeve haha)
Some very good points you have made. Indeed a wolf's key factor is the preservation of its line and its pack. The pack is a family/friend unit. its world revolves around its survival. However, seeing as the majority of users on this site are more than likely role players, i think its safe to assume there are no 'real' hunters. If there were there'd be a hell of alot more going on than just idle threats and teases on a barely known site. So i think its safe to assume no one here is in any 'real' danger from this site. That being said i think its also safe to believe that most on here feel they are capable of 'leading a pack' whether they are 'real' weres or just role players. thats the mentality of most on the interwebs. "well this is my domain so im gonna talk big and be what i want" and generally people like the idea of acting tought online. Hell i sure do. Im a BIG talker but in the end im still just another kid who goes to school, fails classes, begs for money from my parents and deals with everyday drama. >D I think for those who 'truely' can lead, it shows on its own in time. And the signs are obvious in the mannor of their speech, their acceptance of others, their tolerance for drama and the way they deal with unusual circumstances and still manage to keep their cool and hold a sort of respect among their peers. I PERSONALLY do not feel i amount to much of anything on this or any other site, but if there is one thing i stand true to, its loyalty to those i believe in and those who believe in me. Whether that is a sign of 'leadership skill' i really wouldnt know. But this is all key in the long run. Hunters (in my mind at least) are not scouting the internet and threatening role players. It just not done that way. its silly, thats why.

I agree with you completely. It's quite silly. It just shows how few of us are actually out there. I've been trying my hardest to find real wolves but frankly, it seems there aren't many of us. It's almost upsetting to know that this site has so many members and yet, so few actual werewolves.
As for the hunters, no. I don't really think there are any real hunters out there anymore. When I say I'm a dominant wolf, it means that when I walk into a room, people tend to notice. Also it doesn't help that I'm rather tall as well. Standing a good six foot. I'm noticed. The fact that I haven't even seen anyone look at me like I'm the prey just tells me one of two things:
1. I have never once came into contact with a hunter in my life, which shouldn't be the case if there are supposedly so many out there
2. there are no real hunters anymore
Sure in ancient time there were probably hundreds of them but now, with so many roleplayers and fakers out there who probably can't even tell you the real tales of werewolves or how some of them came to be, well I congratulate those few hunters who are actually out there. They probably belong to a long family of hunters who refuse to give up their task.
It's just foolish to make such a scene.

(here's a bit a history to clear things up because It needs to be cleared up and i just happen to know more than i should about it lol) Hunters were originally hired by the church as a sort of messanger for God to hunt various things which they deemed 'demonic' or 'unholy.' In a time when people's livelyhood were in danger of being stolen and eaten by packs of European wolves, (because most were farmers, traders and the like before the 1700's) it was very common to hire expert trackers and hunters to hunt down larger and more dangerous predators (bears, wolves, etc.) The idea of a 'werewolf hunter' was not technically introduced until the case in France of a wild man found, who was believed to suffer from lycanthropy, though all witnesses claim it was a giant wolf-like animal which attacked their livestock and people. Werewolf hunters were blessed by the church to carry out their work and typically it was not something that was 'passed down' through family lines. it was just another job that payed big bucks. I personally think movies and books and word of mouth tales really hyped up the whole "long line of werewolf hunters" thing. it just didnt happen. ^^"
So when people claim to be were-hunters today, its safe to bet they're just trolls looking for a good fight. >DD 'real' hunters do it for money. that was the point. If there is anything a were should really fear it might be a demonologist, someone who is expert of the folklore and history of anything paranormal, who would KNOW how to take down a were, or anything of the kin. o3o (as for FINDING those of kin, it is VERY hard for MOST to tell if another is of kin. Although there were side is technically driven instinctually, the human half is not. at least not nearly as much NOW as a human would be say 5000 years ago or longer. You'd have to be pretty in tune with ur were side to be able to sense other kin immediately upon meeting them. o3o Thats probably why u generally see many were/therion were a symbol of some kind. Its almost like a right of passage to carry something like that even. >DD if someone can recognize the symbol then its a safe bet to assume they are of kin if not at least familier)

What kind of symbols do you mean?
HowlingQueen 48 days ago
the delta theta is more commonly used as the symbol for the therian. here---> http:/
Typically it is seen plain like that or sometimes it can be seen with a wolf head in the center or a paw print of the animal of which the therian represents. Its surprisingly uncommon yet almost every therian i've spoken with know what it is and use it readily. Eventually, when i have enough money i want to make or purchase a charm with this on it so i can wear it on a daily basis and see who it attracts. its an experiment i wanna try >8D

That's interesting. What is therian exactly?

Interesting and powerful rant Nigamo. I'm afraid I have to agree with you. By stating that you want to kill someone or something simply because they are human or a hunter or whatever the case may be is a simple sign of weakness. One not strong enough to control the wolf inside is usually killed for the safety of the pack and that, is a reasonable exuse to kill someone. We are not humans who just maim and slaughter simply because we feel like it. We're wolves who only hunter for the safety of the pack or for survival. If your pack is not in direct path of harm from whoever it is you're a swearing to kill then why even go so far as to state that. Any dominant wolf knows that the safety of the pack comes first and if someone is threatening to kill another and actually bring down the wrath of the true hunter out there, then they must be handled, either put in their place or taken completely out of the equation. So why would so many, who claim they are true werewolves, go against their nature to do such foolish things.
Pack mentality means you live for the pack, you grow with the pack, and you work with the pack. This is bred into each and every werewolf, whether born or changed. So I don't understand why so many state such things. I suppose I could blame the Alphas as well. Such nonsense should be stopped immediately before it gets out of control. But then again, some of these packs on the site aren't really packs at all. Just social groups.
But I seem to have gotten off topic there. I agree with you, my friend. Such foolish behaviors should not continue.
